Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 12, 2026
At Motionhorse, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at [email protected].
This policy applies to all visitors and users of motionhorse.ai and the Motionhorse platform.
Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Motionhorse:
- Account information: Your name and email address, provided via Google OAuth when you sign in.
- Project data: Video projects you create, including selected scenes, AI-generated copy, background and theme settings, and any text you manually edit.
- Payment information: Subscription and billing data handled by Polar. We do not store raw card numbers — all payment processing is managed by Polar.
- Usage logs: Records of render jobs, AI generation requests, and credit transactions, used for billing, rate limiting, and platform health monitoring.
- Product information you provide: Product name, website URL, and description you enter when using AI generation. Website URLs are only accessed if you explicitly consent to website scraping.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and referring pages collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure (Vercel).
How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate you and manage your account session.
- Process subscription payments and allocate render credits.
- Generate AI video copy from your product information using third-party AI APIs.
- Render and store your video output files.
- Enforce usage limits (render rate limits, AI generation limits) by tier.
- Send transactional emails (render completion notifications, billing receipts).
- Monitor platform health and prevent abuse.
Third-Party Services
Motionhorse uses the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Google OAuth — authentication. Your Google profile (name, email, avatar) is used to create and identify your account.
- Polar — subscription billing and payment processing. Polar handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare R2 — storage for rendered video output. Rendered videos are stored for 30 days after creation, then automatically deleted.
- Fireworks.ai / OpenRouter — AI content generation. Your product name, description, and (with explicit consent) scraped website content are sent to these services to generate video copy. No data is retained by these services beyond the immediate request.
- Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure. Standard server access logs are retained by Vercel per their data processing terms.
Website Scraping Consent
If you provide a website URL during AI generation, Motionhorse will ask for your explicit consent before accessing it. Only your public homepage and up to 2 subpages are accessed. The scraped content is used solely to write your video copy and is not stored beyond the generation request.
Data Retention
- Account and project data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Rendered video files: Stored in Cloudflare R2 for 30 days after creation, then permanently deleted.
- Usage logs (render jobs, AI logs): Retained for 12 months for billing and compliance, then deleted.
- Payment records: Retained as required by applicable financial regulations (typically 7 years).
Cookies
Motionhorse uses session cookies only — set by Better Auth to maintain your login state. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is shown because no non-essential cookies are set.
Children
Motionhorse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
